Registered Veterinary Technician

We are a busy and growing multi-doctor group of veterinary dermatology specialty clinics. We are looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and work with our new doctor at our Vancouver location.

Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Prepare patient samples for laboratory analysis
- Prepare and assist with medical procedures
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their well-being
- Admit and discharge patients; Educate clients with home care instructions as required
- Administrative duties including email/phone communication and maintaining accurate medical records

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Graduate from an accredited animal health or veterinary technology college program
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
- Previous experience working as an RVT is preferred; new graduates are welcome

Technical Skills Required
- Blood collection, catheter placement
- Perform low stress patient handling and optimal care
- Proficient in anesthetic induction/maintenance
- Cornerstone and computer troubleshooting experience is an asset
